WebDec 24, 2024 · Attempt 1: Mechanisms were inside and evidently, the dwarf has to get on top of the bridge to link it. So, I destroyed the bridge, made a stockpile outside for mechanisms, then rebuilt the bridge, and linked it to a lever outside.. because obviously I can't get inside to make a lever to link it to. The simplest solution is to deconstruct the bridge, dig out the floor tiles and then reconstruct it. This is a bit of a pain, and has a few other considerations you will want to be aware of.
