WebWhen we are looking at singular possession, an apostrophe and an ‘s’ are usually added to the end of the noun. e.g. mermaid’s tail. For plural possession, if the noun already ends in an ‘s’, another ‘s’ is not usually added and the apostrophe is placed after it. e.g. pupils’ lunches.
