I have replaced the thermostats which were completely seized closed and changed the impeller assembly. I've found a hose in the engine... WebI found the poppet valve above the bottom cowling and replaced the diaphram and gaskets. It did not cure the problem so I removed the thermostats and the poppet valve and then ran a high pressure stream of water through the hoses. I eventually blew something out of the engine through the poppet valve recess. That cured my problem.
