I guess there's a non-zero chance that you happened to a particular primer that isn't compatible in some other way but that doesn't seem particularly likely to me. WebbEven if you clean the Bones of any mold release agent, I find working that first layer onto the smooth PVC surface a bit tricky. A coat of Vallejo primer eliminates that problem entirely. Bare Bones seem to do much better unprimed if you don't use water to thin the first coat. The Bones plastic seems pretty hydrophobic in my experience.
